Dr. Tony Falco is awarded the 2006 INNOVATOR AWARD from the Association of Industrial Research in Quebec (ADRIQ)

Montreal, Canada – October 20, 2006  Resonant Medical Inc. announced today that Dr. Tony Falco, Chief Technology Officer, has received the coveted 2006 INNOVATOR AWARD from the Association of Industrial Research in Quebec (ADRIQ).
"This award salutes his numerous achievements and his direct involvement towards the development and success of Resonant Medical, a young innovative enterprise which builds on the results of his work and research," remarked Claude Demers, president of the ADRIQ.

Every year since 1991, the ADRIQ had presented awards to enterprises and personalities that have played a major role in innovative research and industrial applications. These awards recognize exceptional achievements of distinguished individuals and enterprises and their notable contributions to the province's industrial development.

One of the founders of Resonant Medical, Dr. Falco is a top moving forces at Resonant Medical, driving scientific research, technology development and product management. His insights and ideas are at the core of the company's unique innovative products.

Tony Falco obtained his Ph.D. in physics with specialization in medical physics from McGill University in 1999. As a medical physicist from 1999 to 2003, he gained clinical and academic acclaim in radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging physics. In 2003, he earned the particular distinction of becoming the youngest Fellow in the history of the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine. He has authored, or co-authored, a number of peer-reviewed publications, grants, patents, and clinical trial protocols.

The award will be presented to Dr. Falco during the official gala ceremony to be held November 23rd. Several prizes still remained to be announced; Resonant Medical is finalist for three other awards including the Entrepreneurship and the Innovation Awards.
